Pokriva Nočiva

A band from the Natisone Valley, a strip of land on the border between Italy and Slovenia. Formed during the pandemic as an artistic response to a period of isolation, they have developed a distinctive musical style that blends rock, folk, garage, noise, punk and reggae. Their work is deeply rooted in the local area: the lyrics, sung in the local Friulian and Slovenian dialects with passages in Italian and English, explore the contradictions and cultural richness of a border region, navigating depopulation, memory and shared traditions.

Physalia

Oniria is Physalia’s debut album, released by the Okum label. A journey into the depths of the subconscious that immerses the listener in a soundscape of dreams waiting to be deciphered. An old wall-mounted piano, prepared percussion, objects, synthesisers and a highly cinematic approach to sound. Physalia’s voice narrates, with gentle power, those vivid and incomprehensible dreams that continue to stir the emotions even after waking, blending songwriting, chamber pop and contemporary experimentation.
