Two pillars of Friulian alternative music come together for a DJ set outside canons and conventions. Walter Sguazzin and Leo Virgili skilfully mix cold digital sounds with analogue imperfections, whilst leveraging the effectiveness of sequential electronic beats and the communicativeness and charm of vinyl records and acoustic instruments. Central to the set is the mystery of the theremin, the ‘invisible instrument’, laden with its retro magic, but always surprising.
Il Successo Non è Niente
Il Successo Non è Niente (Success is Nothing) is a concert that traces stories of courage, dreams and wounds of Friuli Venezia Giulia. Through original songs, Simone Piva recounts extraordinary figures such as Tina Modotti, Primo Carnera, Federico Tavan and recalls events that have marked our land, such as the 1976 earthquake and the struggles of the Cormôr workers in 1950. A musical journey through memory, poetry and reality, in which songwriting meets the energy of rock and the intensity of the storytelling.
