Die sechste Ausgabe von Mittelyoung ging mit großem Erfolg zu Ende und bestätigte sich erneut als lebendiges und unverzichtbares Festival für die internationale zeitgenössische U30-Szene.
Die neun im Programm präsentierten Produktionen wurden aus 238 Bewerbungen aus 28 europäischen Ländern im Rahmen des Open Calls 2026 ausgewählt und bestätigten erneut das große Interesse sowie die Vitalität der jungen zeitgenössischen Kreativität.
Unter ihnen wählten die Curatores unter 30 — das Herzstück des Projekts und treibende Kraft der künstlerischen Auswahl — die drei Gewinnerproduktionen aus, die im Rahmen des offiziellen Programms von Mittelfest 2026 zum Thema ANGST vom 16. bis 26. Juli erneut aufgeführt werden.

Neben der Auswahl der Curatores wurden auch die Sonderpreise der Fachjury vergeben, bestehend aus Riccardo Ventrella vom Teatro della Pergola, Francesca Di Fazio, Junior-Künstlerische Leiterin der ERT Fondazione, sowie dem Kritiker und Wissenschaftler Roberto Canziani.
