prize-winner Ema Andrea
event organised by Soroptimist International d’Italia – Club Cividale del Friuli
with the support of CiviBank – Gruppo Sparkasse
in collaboration with Associazione Mittelfest
Over two hundred years ago, on 29 January 1822, Cividale del Friuli saw the birth of one of the most important women of European and western theatre in the 19th century: Adelaide Ristori. To the ‘great actress’, who bewitched audiences around the world, the Soroptimist International d’Italia – Club Cividale del Friuli has annually dedicated since 1998 the prize of the same name, destined to the best artist of the previous edition of Mittelfest.
In 2025, the Adelaide Ristori Prize goes to Ema Andrea, the protagonist at Mittelfest 2024 of Negotiating Peace, a play written by Jeton Neziraj and directed by Blerta Neziraj, which tackles in the form of a harsh satire, between grotesque comedy and drama, the absurdities and contradictions of the great peace processes, and their fragility.
