Si Vîf takes us to the mountains of Carnia, where instinct and magic, charisma and unpredictability have found a home. The director Dorino Minigutti portrays the Carnic singer-songwriter Gigi Maieron, focusing more on the man than on the artist. From the dialogue between director and singer-songwriter, the most delicate and difficult moments of Gigi’s life emerge: from the complex relationship with his mother, with whom he made his musical debut as a young boy, to the struggle to balance passion and family, from the pain of losing his daughter to writing as self-therapy. Above all, the ability to move and excite with a measured attitude, never emphatic or blatant. An approach to life that touches simple but true feelings, with that deep sensitivity that has marked his life as a writer and musician.
