The dramaturgical research project – also hosted in Cividale and in partnership with Mittelfest – has opened up a new and unprecedented space for artistic collaboration between Italy and the Balkans through numerous dramaturgical residencies.

The third edition of Mittelyoung, Europe’s most under-30 festival, has come to an end. Of the 9 selected shows, 3 were chosen by the under-30 curators to return to the Mittelfest stage in July.

The international Open Call for artists and ensembles under 30 concluded with excellent participation numbers that will make the third edition of Mittelyoung, from May 18 to 21, even more international and Central European.

The project ‘East of the Stage’, a dramaturgy workshop on the road between Italy and the Balkans with internationally renowned playwrights from Bosnia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Italy, has officially started.
The first workshop will be held in Priština (Kosovo) from 13 to 18 February.

Presented the new theme that will pull the strings of the 32nd edition of Mittelfest and the 3rd of Mittelyoung. Instead, the Mittelbabel project is a journey into the past of Mittelfest. News also for the third edition of Mittelyoung, which will move for the first day of shows from Cividale to the SNG Nova Gorica.

In addition to the programming, from 21 March to 2 April, at the Piccolo Teatro of Milano and, from 28 to 30 April, at the Communal Theatre in Ferrara, there are also dates in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto.
