Wújìn, meaning ‘endless’, is a Buddhist term that refers to inaction, non-existence and infinity. Drawing on the physical practices of Taiwanese temple culture, Felix Chang investigates how ritualised movement alters the fabric of the stage and the intensity of the visual field. The audience takes part in a ‘ceremony of attention’: every movement is charged with presence, every pause allows silence to reverberate, shaping new physical and perceptual landscapes, and soothing tensions and fears.
