Michele Santeramo rewrites the story of Anna Fierling, Bertolt Brecht’s ‘mother courage’, in the form of a monologue; with cynicism and icy resolve, she navigates the wars, armed only with her cart and her business acumen. Laura Marinoni, directed by Gianluca Barbadori, brings this archetype to life and confronts the audience with the limits each of us faces in our own humanity.
