The oud meets the violin, Asian tradition meets jazz; seemingly disparate paths of experimentation converge on Mittelfest stage. Peppe Frana, an oud virtuoso and expert in Eastern music, joins forces with Anaïs Drago, a violinist and performer who moves effortlessly between classical, jazz and electroacoustic experimentation. Without resorting to facile exoticisms, they forge an authentic dialogue between two musical worlds, weaving together traditional languages to create a fresh and surprising sound.
