Der Verein Mittelfest ist Gastgeber der Dramatikerin Tanja Sljivar, die vom 16. bis 20. Mai 2023 in Cividale del Friuli einen Workshop abhalten wird.
Das Projekt zielt darauf ab, die Begegnung von Dramatikern aus Italien und dem Balkan mit jungen Künstlern oder Studenten der darstellenden Künste und der Geisteswissenschaften durch Workshops oder Aufenthalte von Dramatikern zum Thema Klimawandel zu fördern.
Der Workshop findet in englischer Sprache statt, die Teilnahme ist kostenlos und steht Teilnehmern aller Altersgruppen offen.

I invite participants from different fields of theater and performance-making to create a series of short performative texts on the topic of climate change. Dramaturgs, playwrights, actors, costume and set designers, directors, and other theater-makers and professionals are invited to think beyond capitalism and its ever-self-inducing crises and ask ourselves what kind of text a forest, a river, an animal, a stone, a mushroom, a rock, an ocean could speak. In a non-anthropocentric, post-human environment we can start our own (performative and textual) genesis of the new world. I would propose reading and analyzing texts on the intersection and relationship of racism, capitalism, nationalism, fascism, and climate change – by the eco-feminist collective Out of the Woods and by Denise Ferreira da Silva and to start thinking from there about the possibility of speech and language of the non-human subjects. Public/staged reading of the texts will be organized on the final day of the workshop.
