Alessandro Baricco guides the audience through a fresh and surprising reinterpretation of Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata. The show breaks with traditional opera conventions: there is no longer any separation between the stage and the audience, spectators become an integral part of the story, toasting and singing together alongside the performers, experiencing Violetta’s story as if at a village festival. A brand-new format, halfway between a public square concert, storytelling theatre and a community celebration, which brings opera back to its most popular, vibrant and shared roots.

Transport to and from the venue must be via Mittelfest bus service.

Standing-room-only event
In case of bad weather, Mittelfest reserves the right to postpone the start of the performance by up to 30 minutes from the scheduled time. If conditions improve within this timeframe, the performance will begin. Otherwise, the performance will be canceled at that time. Once the performance has begun, even if delayed, ticket refunds will not be provided, even if the performance cannot be completed due to weather conditions. Refunds are only available if the performance is canceled before its start. Any refunds will be made starting Monday, July 27th upon written request to amministrazione@mittelfest.org, indicating the ticket serial numbers.
