Ulderica, fruta di mont/ Martinis – Ritratto d’un artista
Stefano Giacomuzzi

Two short documentary films by Stefano Giacomuzzi, dedicated to two artists from Friuli, photographer Ulderica Da Pozzo and artist Luciano Martinis, united by their inexorable challenge of the passage of time. Childhood in the mountains that bring happiness and fear, adulthood in search of the distant childhood spark, the exhausting passing of time and death are the moments of the film, which portrays the artistic biography of the photographer Ulderica Da Pozzo. Behind the whirlwind of events, the mountains of Friuli, with its small universes in which the whole world is reflected.
Luciano Martinis is an eclectic artist who eludes any classification. He is a sculptor, a publisher, a collector of African art, a musicologist and a craftsman. As a sculptor, he prefers to use waste materials: old pieces of iron rusted and corroded by time. Luciano sees time as a valuable ally with which to collaborate on his creations. Like an archaeologist who finds an ancient find and reconstructs its history, Luciano with his art wants to tell the story of the elements that make it up. Elements that remain even after us, symbols and evidence of our fleeting passage.
