Tre Fenomeni
Vivaldi-Piovani: i concerti della natura
Nicola Piovani

Tre Fenomeni (Three phenomena. Piovani-Vivaldi concerts of nature) is a refined weave of musical references, where Vivaldi’s celebrated pieces, La Tempesta di Mare (The Sea Storm), La Notte (The Night) and Il Gardellino (The Goldfinch), are joined by three original compositions, inspired by them, by Nicola Piovani: Tsunami, Eclissi Lunare (Lunar Eclipse) and La Tortorella (The Turtle dove). Piovani has composed three concertos that maintain the same structure as their older sibling pieces, indulging in a few minor deviations. In his compositions, Vivaldi’s virtuosity is thus enhanced, thanks to the mastery of I Solisti Veneti, the solo flute of Massimo Mercelli and the conducting of Carella and Piovani.
In case of bad weather, the show will be held in the Church of San Francesco
