La Mitteleuropa di Giorgio Pressburger

“I want to begin by thanking the destiny that led me to discover by chance what it truly means to belong to the human community of the living and the dead.” Five years after the death of Giorgio Pressburger (1937-2017), an intellectual with a strong innovative spirit, one of the most significant figures on the Italian and international cultural scene of the 20th century, Associazione Mittelfest, of which Pressburger was the first and longest-serving artistic director, in collaboration with Associazione culturale ‘Giorgio Pressburger’, decided to dedicate an exhibition to him that combines photographic and audiovisual images and personal objects. The aim is to promote the memory and knowledge of a Mitteleuropean intellectual without borders, a son and protagonist of the great upheavals of the 20th century in Europe, whose scars were evident on him.
