A tribute to Galileo Galilei, a multimedia work about the Cosmos and Astronomy, the discipline that investigates its laws and secrets. Galileo’s Journey imagines how the scientist from Pisa could have observed the sky with modern scientific technology: the optical telescope La Specola Margherita Hack of Trieste Astronomical Observatory. Excerpts from some scientific and poetic texts by Galileo Galilei, sung by 3 female voices (2 sopranos and 1 mezzo-soprano), combine with sound images that, from time to time, develop the sound of the orbits of the planets of our Solar System as NASA recorded them by means of sophisticated detection systems.
