Death and Birth in My Life

In Death and Birth in My Life, artist Mats Straub investigates the passage and boundaries of existence, birth and death, the beginning and end of life. The performance is designed for a group of 15 spectators at a time, who are invited to sit in front of a two-screen station, put on headphones and pay attention to the stories that other participants before them have delivered to the director. The performance frees the conversation from the conventions of everyday life, returning a narrative composed of small fragilities, in a game of mirrors in which we recognize ourselves in the words of others.
