La cruenta passione del personaggio biblico e la scrittura sensibile di Oscar Wilde hanno dato vita, alla fine dell’800 a un capolavoro ambiguo e fatale. Nelle mani del regista croato Damir Zlatar Frey – ospite già altre volte a MittelFest con le sue oniriche creazioni  – la pretesa della giovane Salomè, che chiede e ottiene la testa di Giovanni Battista, e la sua famosa danza dei sette veli volgono a un gioco al massacro che scaraventerà i personaggi nell’abisso.

The cruel passion of the Biblical character and the sensitive writing of Oscar Wilde resulted in an ambiguous and fateful masterpiece dating from the end of the 19th century. In the hands of Croatian director Damir Zlatar Frey – a past guest of MittelFest with his dreamlike creations – the demands of the young Salome, who seeks and obtains the head of John the Baptist, and her famous dance of the seven veils lead to the massacre that will plunge the protagonists into the abyss.
